The Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS) is excited about our new Dinner Card! With it, cardholders can visit 13 participating Rutland County restaurants and purchase an entrée and their guest will receive an entree of the same or lesser value free. It’s a win for the cardholder, a win for the restaurant and a win for the animals at the Rutland County Humane Society who need care while they wait to find their forever homes. Dinner Cards are $100 each and can be used January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020, with some blackout dates and exclusions. Dining cards can only be used one time at each restaurant. The RCHS Dinner Card will make a great gift for everyone, so buy a few! The Dinner Cards are available for purchase here or at the Rutland County Humane Society on Stevens Road in Pittsford. It’s the 40th year of our annual Critter Community Holiday Card! Include the homeless animals of our community on your gift list this year – participate in the 40th Annual Critter Community Holiday Card. They’ll be ever so grateful.
You can participate by making a donation to RCHS and providing us with the exact name you want on the card. It can be your name or your pet’s name or in memory of a loved one, person or pet. On December 24, look for the Critter Community Holiday Card in the Rutland Herald, wishing Happy Holidays to the Community! Submissions are due to RCHS before Friday, December 13, 2019. As you can imagine, the staff at the Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS) goes through a lot of supplies feeding and caring for the animals in the shelter. We are currently in need of certain items so if you’d like to make a donation for the animals they’d really appreciate it! The shelter needs paper towels, liquid laundry detergent, canned pate kitten food, canned pate cat food, dry kitten food (any brand), jarred baby food (turkey and chicken), small paper plates, 33 gallon trash bags and 15 gallon trash bags.
