When Totts first arrived at the shelter, one thing was made clear right from the start; She LOVES people.
Totts came to the shelter as an owner surrender following a difficult loss in her previous family. Totts had some health and weight challenges that her previous family had been doing their best to manage. She was ready for a fresh start and a consistent routine.
Then came her next chapter.
Today, Totts is settling beautifully into her new home. She has a cat roommate, a comfortable kennel that she treats like her own bedroom, and a new harness that fits her new body curves. She loves going on walks and has even started breaking into adorable little gallops. She may not beg for food, but she has mastered the art of giving those irresistible pleading eyes! Totts is also working hard on her health. She’s eating her prescribed diet along with dog-friendly vegetables, and she has already lost two pounds.
With veterinary care, proper nutrition, and regular exercise, Totts is now on a healthy path forward. After a 30-minute walk, she was completely worn out, but she’s doing wonderfully. She’s eating, drinking, sleeping, and settling into her new life beautifully. From Princess at the shelter to Totts in her forever home, this sweet girl has come a long way. Her story isn’t about where she started. It’s about where she is today. She’s found another loving family, a healthy routine, a cozy place to sleep, plenty of walks, and, most importantly, a family committed to giving her the happy and healthy life she deserves. And of course, she still has those adorable eyes and her famous little potato pose. Totts really is the girl who has it all.
