Please Note: We have a large donation bin outside the front door of the Adoption Center so items can be dropped off whenever it's convenient. The entrance is covered from the elements so donated items won't get wet while they're there. Staff will bring them in the next day if they're dropped off after hours.
RCHS is appreciative to the community for its continued support of donations for our animals. While we often receive donations we can use, we also receive donations which we are unable to use. As a result, we have to pay to dispose of the items we cannot use. And these costs are rising, as are many of the costs associated with running the shelter. As a result we have made a few changes to our donation guidelines.
Donations we can no longer accept include: open bags of dog food, cat food or treats, heavily used toys/food dishes, used litterboxes, pillows, pillow cases, electric blankets, sleeping bags, rugs, carpet scraps, newspapers, heavily used cat furniture, heavily used small animal cages, heavily used wire dog crates and pee pads.
