Lexi

4 Year Old.  Spayed Female.  Pit Bull Mix.  56 lbs.

I’m a very playful gal who loves tennis balls!  Squeaky toys are lots of fun, too, but I’ve been known to destroy them in no time flat!  I will need lots of sturdy dog toys to keep me happy and entertained.  After I play and play I will relax and take a well deserved snooze.  I’m very social, too, and enjoy hanging out with my favorite people.  I am super adorable especially when I show you how I can Sit Pretty (I know Sit, too, but I love showing people how I can Sit Pretty!).  I’m so talented!  I arrived at RCHS on October 11 as a stray.  I have no known history with dogs, cats or children but I may do well with them.  If you already have a dog at home it will be important that we meet to make sure we get along.  I had some growths removed from my back end which turned out to be mast cell tumors.  The veterinarian thinks he got everything and there are clear margins.  They are low grade and there is a slight chance they could recur.  My new owner will need to watch my back end for regrowth.  RCHS will be happy to provide my medical records to my new owners so they can share them with my new veterinarian.  I’m feeling much better now and my prognosis is good.  I’m strong and I pull when I’m on a leash so a no pull harness will be important so I can enjoy walks and hikes with my new family.  I will need lots of exercise to keep me happy!  If you’re looking for a spunky lady who is fun to be around and will bring joy to your life please stop by and meet me!
