Pharena

9 Year Old.  Spayed Female.  Boxer Mix.  76.4 lbs.

I’m a super sweet, older lady who enjoys being with people.  I’m still have a spring in my step for a dog my age.  I walk nicely on a leash and I’m looking forward to walks and other outdoor fun, especially now that the weather is nice.  I’m a couch potato and will curl up with you as you read or watch television.  I love a good scratch behind my ears and on my back.  When you stop I’ll look at you lovingly with the hopes that you’ll start up again.  I arrived at RCHS on June 24 from a busy shelter in West Virginia and I’m very happy to be in Vermont.  I have no known history with dogs, cats or children but I may do well with them.  If you already have a dog at home it will be important that we meet to make sure we get along.  I don’t seem very interested in playing with toys but maybe once I settle into my new home I will.  I also don’t seem to know any commands (not even Sit!) so hopefully I can learn some with my new family.  I did have a cyst on my rump removed while I was in West Virginia because it was bothering me and it’s healing nicely.  I have two golf ball sized growths, one between my shoulder blades and one on my chest, as well as a skin tag on my right hip.  My new veterinarian will need to keep an eye on those for me.  I did have some bloodwork done and I’m healthy for a dog my age.  If you’re looking for a friendly, loveable lady like me who is looking forward to being spoiled during my golden years please stop by and meet me.
