4year old. Neutered Male. Pit Bull mix. 60 lbs.

The staff here calls me Matty Matt because I’m really a big softie under all these muscles!  I have delightful leash manners and will really cheer you up when I look up at you during a walk with my Pit Bull grin!  Toys are terrific and I’m really good with a tennis ball – the mid-air catch is a piece of cake!  I also really like those “busy balls” that I can roll around to get treats.  I like to keep busy and I am really motivated by treats.  I can be pushy when I want loving but I listen well and understand when it is time to get down or sit.  I know Sit, Give Paw and Drop It.  I ride very well in cars and sit where you tell me to!  The staff here has had a chance to figure out all these things about me since I came here as a stray in November.  I was really skinny, only weighted 37 pounds, and really needed some TLC.  Boy, do I give as much as I get!  I am hopeful for a busy family, with kids 12 and up, because I really like to be in the middle of things!  As usual I need to meet any dogs that might already be in your family before I go home with you, but no cats or small animals for me, please…they really just look too much like toys to me.
